The Return of Jesus Christ

Matthew 24:30 - And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Note context of text.

Concentrate on the glory and honor of Christ when He returns.

1. Today, many don’t have the slightest bit of respect for God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, or anything of God.

  1. No respect for God, his church, his Bible, his ways, his judgments, his rewards, his blessings, his help, except to get folks out of trouble.

  2. Disrespect to God is shown by:

    1. Judges 17:6, 21:25 – No thought of God, but men doing what they believe is right.

    2. Many new Bibles, because God’s Bible doesn’t say what men think it ought to say. Men twist God’s words around anyway it pleases them. They believe they are smarter than God, because they know what God wanted or intended to say.

  3. God doesn’t appear to be victorious today.

    1. Men say God doesn’t know and that He won’t do anything about their sin. (homosexuals – abortionists – murderers – rapists – crooked politicians – liars – child abusers (Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.) – adulterers – cussers – half-hearted “Christians” who are deceived into believing they are right when they are actually wrong, but many follow their pernicious ways – like Lamech (Genesis 4:24), Lamech erroneously said God should advenge him seven fold.)

    2. Matthew 24:37-39 - But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

    3. Luke 17:26-30 – And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

    4. Psalm 50 – God is a silent God, but one day He will speak in his sore displeasure.

  4. Revelation 13:7 – During the tribulation period, people are going to believe Satan has overcome God. God’s name as been pressed down into the dirt and muck of this world, but God will show up victorious at the end of the tribulation period.

    1. I don’t think the rapture will result in a lot of people leaving.

    2. I believe there are many false professors. Just look at their fruits.

    3. Luke 18:8 – the parable of the unjust judge – “Will the Son of Man find faith on the earth when He returns?”

  5. The judgment of God on this earth is coming.

    1. Revelation 14:14-20 – the blood will run deep when God judges this world because of their sinfulness.

    2. Isaiah 63:3 – Christ will tread the winepress alone.

    3. Revelation 19:15-16 – Christ will tread the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of almighty God, and will rule all nations with a rod of iron (millimium reign).

    4. The nations thought God was dead, but He isn’t and will never be.
