In” or “Out”? 1

Hebrews 10:38,39 “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”

  1. Perdition is destruction, ruin, damnable, pernicious ways, waste.

    1. John 17:12 – Judas is spoken of as the Son of Perdition.

    2. II Thess 2:3 – The Antichrist is spoken of as the Son of Perdition.

    3. II Peter 3:7 – The world has been reserved for the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

    4. Rev. 17:8,11 – The beast shall go into perdition.

    5. Matthew 25:41 – Hell is prepared for the devil and his angels (angels is messengers, regardless of what form that messenger comes in.)

1 This message turned out to be an exposition of Hebrews 10:11-39. I spoke concerning the good things Christ has done for us in being the sacrifice for our sins, then how we, as saved people, either serve the Lord, or serve ourselves. I didn’t turn to any of the scriptures listed above.
