Law of Accountability

Heb. 4:12, 13 - We have to do (God has given us to do.)

Luke 12:43 - Blessed is the servant that shall be doing when Jesus returns.

Luke 12:48 - Knowledge and no work equals more strips. Also the opposite.

Things we are accounted for:

I. Salvation, John 3:16.

A. Eph. 2:8,9 - Our accountability is in verse 10.

B. Rom. 1:16 - Not ashamed - Our responsibility is in verse 14 - a debtor.

C. God sent Jesus and Jesus sends us.

II. Word of God.

A. II Tim. 2:15 - Study to show ourselves approved before God.

B. Ps. 138:2 - Hide the word in our heart.

1. To preach.

2. To teach.

3. To witness to the world.

III. Truth about local church (God gave us this truth.)

A. Heb. 10:25 - Truth about assembling in God's house.

1. Need to be involved in church activities.

2. Need to be involved in church ordinances.

B. Rom. 11:13 - Paul magnified his office (Comparable to the pastor's responsibility to the church.)

IV. Children - An heritage of the Lord.

A. Ps. 127:3-5 - Quiver full of children makes us happy.

B. Deut. 28:4 - Blessed fruit of body (Children).

C. Children see our attitude.

V. Body.

A. Ps. 139:14 - Health and strength.

B. I Cor. 6:13 - The body is for the Lord.

VI. Every day - Psalms 118:24.

VII. Conclusion.

A. Rom. 14:12 - We shall all give account.
