The Times Of Restitution

Acts 3:21 – Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Restitution means the repairing of things done wrong, and the restoring of what one has wrongfully taken from another.

I Corinthians 10:11 – Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Peter very clearly divides the two comings of Christ.  This is remarkable, as just a few days previously, none of the apostles understood the different in the two comings.

Verse 17 – Peter explains they killed Christ out of ignorance, just as we sinned against Christ in ignorance.  Acts 17:30 – And the times of this ignorance God winked (took no notice of, or overlooked) at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Verse 19 – the presence of the Lord is to be contrasted with now when Christ is not with us as he soon will be.  The word “presence” means “his face”, revealing that we will soon see the face of Christ.
