Ordained by Angels in the hand of a mediator

Gal. 3:19 - and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Why would God allow the angels to have a part in His eternal kingdom? Because this is His eternal plan. It is God’s eternal plan for all His elect to be a part of His eternal kingdom, to rule and reign with Him. He shows us this in His Precious Word.

Notice the following points to prove that God allowed angels to have a part in revealing to lost humankind their need of a Saviour.

  1. Acts 7:53 - The law was given at the disposition of angels. Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

  2. Psalms 68:17 - There were thousands upon thousands of angels at Mount Sinai when God gave the law to Israel. The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

  3. Hebrews 2:2-3 - If the word of angels - what is the word of angels but the law of God? For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

  4. Gen. 1:28- God created man and gave him authority over all this present world. Adam messed up and rebelled against the clear command of God to leave the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil alone, but this didn’t stop God from completing His plan. It just put it off a little (as far as we are concerned).

  5. Gen. 2:19,20 - The reason God accepted the names Adam called every living creature was because sin had not yet entered the picture. God and Adam were in complete agreement. This is the plan of God.

  6. Romans 8:17 - We, the elect, are joint heirs with Christ. Do more study on this point. Joint heirs indicates to me at this point of time that we will receive equally to Jesus Christ, the son of God.

  7. Rev. 1:6, and Rev. 5:10 - Christ has made us kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth - probably the new earth. Being a king and priest indicates that there is some authority given to the king and to the priest. This authority will not be over God, and God will not be in subjection to the kings and priests He has made. But – we will be complete agreement with God because He will have given us a new heart (spiritually saved during this earthly time frame and a new mind and body for all eternity).

  1. I Cor. 3:10-15 - It is possible for a saved person to be unfaithful to God, building his life upon the shifting sand of this world, therefore will have no enduring works (those works done in the power and for the glory and honor of God). He will be saved, yet so as by fire.

  2. Note Rev. 4:10 - The 24 elders (representatives of Israel and the Gentile church) have crowns - hence an authority to rule and reign. The crowns are cast at the feet of Christ because He has the final authority - See I Cor. 15:27,28.

Matthew 25:14-30 - the parable of the talents. God gives us talents, which He intends us to use for His glory and His honor. In turn, He will give us abundantly more and above.

Luke 19:11-28 - God gives pounds to His servants. When they are faithful with these pounds, He gives them authority over various numbers of cities, according to their faithfulness with the pounds. The pounds is a certain weight (a value of money). I believe it speaks particularly about a certain responsibility God gives us to be his spiritual ambassadors.

Fact: Matthew 13:31-32 - There are many and varied false prophets - that is the Sunday School lesson this morning.

I Tim. 4:2, II Tim. 4:2-4 - In the latter days, the kingdom of God will be filled with apostates.

Matt. 24:11,12 - Many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many. Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Ours is the kingdom of God to rule and reign with Him - that is the message this morning.

Gen. 15:11 - Abraham chased away the birds that could come upon his offering to God. So should we.

Rev. 2:10 - Faithful people will receive a crown of life. This may be tied in with I Cor. 15:2. I know it means that we ought to be faithful. Not that we will ever lose our salvation, because we have the only kind of life Jesus gives - eternal life, but that IF we truly believed unto eternal salvation, and receiving the eternal gift of God’s great gift.

Rev. 3:11 - Hold fast that which thou hast, lest any man take thy crown.

Luke 16:11 - God will give us true riches when we are faithful in the unrighteous mammon. True riches is spiritual riches and unrighteous mammon is riches of this world. Notice context of this passage, and how we ought to be faithful in that which belongs to God (earthly riches) so God can give us our own. We ought to serve one master, not two.

It is not God’s will for us to live lives constantly looking for and expecting false teachers. This would be a very negative life. We need to live positive lives, because it is God’s will that we live lives constantly looking toward Him, His teachings, and His return.
