Love not the world? Compare to John 3:16 - For God so loved the world. Love is a self-sacrificing, giving love.

Love not the world? - the things that entangle us in the world.

Lust of the Eyes.

1. Eccl. 1:8 - The eye is never satisfied with seeing.

Pride of life.

1. Matthew 23:6,7 - What will a man give in exchange for his own soul?

2. To be honored by men.

The Pharisees loved places to be seen of men.
