Luke 11:29-32

It appears at this point (2-3-2007) that God is re-establishing his government among men. When God established Israel as a nation, he also establishes judges to judge the people. Israel rejected God’s way of government, desiring to establish a government as all other nations – that of a king. God has allowed this form of government, although it was against his will. During the millennium reign, it appears God will again establish his form of government over nations, and the government will be in his hands and he will allow his chosen people to rule and reign with him.

I. Saints shall judge the unbelievers.

A. Jonah will judge the Ninevites.

B. The queen of the south will judge the people of Jesus’ day.

C. The men of Nineveh will judge the generation that lived in Jesus’ day.

D. I Corinthians 6:2,3 – Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

E. Luke 12:30 - That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

F. Luke 19:17 - And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

G. Revelation 3:21 - To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

H. Revelation 20:4 - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

I. Psalm 149:6-9 - Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

J. Daniel 7:22 - Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

I. Jesus Christ will certify the righteous judgment of his children as correct.

A. Matthew 12:42 – Greater than Solomon

B. Luke 11:31 also

II. Compare to I King 10 –

A. Happiness of his servants – we have eternal happiness

B. Riches – God owns the cattle on a thousand hills.

C. Science – God made all the science Solomon spend a lifetime trying to figure out.

D. Culture – The nation of Israel was a nation to be feared and no nation attacked Israel, rather gave them wealth and riches, as they tried to be friends with them. The greatest friend we will ever have is Jesus Christ, who watches out for our welfare, and gives us the very best there is.

E. Government – Solomon was a man with Godly wisdom, there his government was respected, but God is the God of all wisdom, therefore his government will be elevated far above Solomon’s government.

F. Works – Look at the works of Solomon, but compare to the creation, the healing by Jesus Christ, the answered prayers, so forth.

G. Wisdom – Solomon was the wisest of all men, but God was more.

H. Power – Solomon had much power, but Christ has more power than Solomon ever had, because God gave all power to Solomon.

I. Wealth – I Kings 10:14, 23, but God owns the cattle on a thousand hills.

J. Glory of his throne – Compare the throne of Solomon (gold), but the gold of this earth is nothing but pavement in the eternal city.

K. Worship – I Kings 10:9, 18 compare to Rev. 5:11-13

L. Salvation – Knowledge and wisdom do not bring salvation, only know Christianity by knowing Jesus Christ.

M. Sacrifices of Solomon compared to the single sacrifice of Christ on the cross.
