Matthew 21:10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

Jesus is so much man that he does everything a man does,

yet

He is so much God he does everything God does.

Introduction:

Luke 9:9 - And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

John 12:34 - The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

The man from Galilee, Made the lame to walk, caused the blind to see, cleansed the lepers, broke the chains of sin and set the captives free.

Matthew 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. When John the Baptist wondered if Jesus was the Christ or not.

Luke 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Man: Came into the world as a baby (Matthew 1:23), Born in Bethlehem, laid in a manger,

God: born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23), God’s only son (John 3:16), Had a special star, which we do not yet know what is, which announced his birth (Matthew 2:1,2) announced by angels to shepherds who shouted, Your eternal Saviour is born this day (Luke 2:10).

Man: taught the people. (sermon on the mount)

God: Matthew 7:28,29 – spoke with God’s authority, and not as the scribes. It was as if he had been with God, but, of course, Jesus is God!

Man: Wept when Lazarus died – John 11:35 -

God: Lazarus came forth when Christ called to him. – John 11:43 -

Man: Mark 4:38 – Slept on a pillow

God: Mark 4:38-39 – Calmed raging sea

Man: Wearied – John 4:6, verse 32.

God: Gave comfort and salvation to the weary.

Man: Died as a man (John 19:30, and Luke 23:46), but gave up the ghost, his spirit was not taken from him.

God: Rose in victory because he is our Saviour. Not as Stephen who was stoned (Acts 8:59-60)

Man: cried from the cross – Father forgive them, (Luke 23:34)

God: caused them to see who he was and come to him for forgiveness. (Acts 2)

Man: After death, ate to prove he was in the flesh Luke 24:39-43,

God: After death, he ascended back to heaven to his father, waiting on the time when he will return to the earth again. Acts 1
