God works in two ways:
1. Naturally.
a. II Kings 9:33 - Jezebel killed naturally when Jehu ordered two eunuchs
to throw her out the window.
b. Acts 9:25 - Paul let down in a basket by the disciples at Damascus to
escape the Jews who were trying to kill Paul.
2. Super naturally.
a. Num. 16:31-33 - Korah and company killed super naturally when the
earth opened up and swallowed them all up, and they went alive down into the
pit.
b. Acts 12:7 - Peter got out of jail by an angel super naturally. Peter
thought he was seeing a vision until he was out of jail and woke up,
realizing he was free.
Ps. 8:3 - Creation is the work of the finger of God. When I consider thy
heavens, the work of thy fingers…
Ex. 7:8-11 - Devil (verse 11) does miracles (making serpents) with their
enchantments.
Ex. 7:19-22 – Devil (verse 22) does miracles (making blood) with their
enchantments.
Ex. 8:6-7 - Devil (verse 7) does miracles (making frogs) with their
enchantments.
Ex. 8:16-19 - Devil (verse 18, 19) could not make miracles, He was fighting
the finger of God.
Ex. 31:18 - And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing
with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written
with the finger of God. Law of God (10 commandments) written by the finger
of God. (Therefore it never passes away. Deut. 9:10 states, And
the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God;
and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with
you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
The Word of God is forever.
Psalm 89:34 – My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that
is gone out of my lips. And the covenants of God is just the smallest part
of his power, written with the finger of his hand.
Psalm 119 – This entire Pslam speaks of the Word of God and how precious
it is.
Mark 7:32-35 - Healed by the power of God (finger of God).
John 8:6 – When the wicked Pharisees brought to Jesus a woman taken in
adultery, demanding that he put her to death, according to the law, Jesus
wrote in the ground with His finger. Nobody knows what He wrote. Evidently,
that's not important, or else He would have told us.
Dan. 5:5 - The finger of God wrote on the wall.
a. A lost man can't interpret the Word of God.
b. The word of God will come in judgment upon all disobedient regardless
of where they are or what they are doing. Many people today don't believe in
Christian living. They seem to believe that God doesn't care either. But
this is not so. One of these days, God will come to them in Judgment.
c. Belshazzar knew the things his dad had been through, but didn't use
these things for his learning about the judgment of God. Today, be sure you
look and see the judgment of God upon others so you won't have to learn
first hand about His terrible judgment.
A good comparison of what men think of their strength is found in I Kings
12:10, and II Chron. 10:10. Rehoboam said his little finger is thicker than
Solomon's thigh. He means that the strength in his little finger will be
stronger than the greatest strength of Solomon.
