Building Upon The Rock
Or
Upon The Sand
Matt. 7:24-27
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth
them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon
that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one
that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a
foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and
the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and
great was the fall of it.

preaching to them about that particular sin.

the question.
C. There is a choice to be made.
1. The doctrine of fatalism is false. (What will be will be is
wrong.)
2. We all have the authority and responsibility to make decisions.
3. A good choice: Joshua 24:15 - Joshua declared,
"...for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
4. A bad choice: Gen. 13:11 - Lot chose him the plain of
Jordan.
D. Trouble will come into your life.

overly concerned or anxious about it, but wait on the Lord, and he will
show you how the trial of your faith is more precious than gold that
perisheth.
