Thinking about ourselves correctly

Romans 12:3

It is only after verse 2 is put into effect that we will be able to use verse 3 and the remaining verses of this chapter.

Paul is writing to every man – regardless of their position, power, responsibility, past, whether in an office or not, or regardless of what ability or position he has.

See verse 10 – prefer one another (church members) to being with the world.

See verse 16 – almost a repeat of verse 3.

Luke 14:7-11 – don’t think you are too good to sit with those you consider lower than yourself.

Ephesians 4:7 – Every member of this local church has been given special gifts of God. We must use these gifts from God, and never look down on members that don’t have the gifts we have. We must help them serve God in their gifts.

I Corinthians 12:1-31 – Paul says exactly the same thing to the Corinthian church as he says in Romans 12:4-9.

In everything we have to do in this life, don’t ever forget the most important thing is serving God.

Ephesians 3:14-19 – Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians brothers.
