KJV = King James Version

NIV = New International Version

NWT = New World Translation (This is the Bible of the Jehovah's Witnesses!)

The Underlined portions of the KJV verses are left out of the NIV and the NWT.

Redemption

The NIV and the NWT tell the same story of redemption.  There is no such thing as a "lost" condition, thus there is no need of any kind of redemption.  The KJV alone speaks of people being lost and needing a savior.  The NIV and the NWT suggests a universal salvation - that all are going to heaven.   The KJV positively declares that some are lost, and those that recognize their lost condition are the ones Christ came to save.

Luke 9:56

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

And they went to another village

So they went to a different village.

Matthew 9:13

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

Go, then, and learn what this means, ‘I want mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came to call, not righteous people, but sinners.

Acts 8:37

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins.

Jesus Christ is left out of Salvation

If there are no "lost" people, as portrayed in the NIV and the NWT, there is no need of a personal savior.  According to these modern versions, there is no need of Christ or the redeeming value of his shed blood.  The KJV makes it very clear that our hope of eternal life is in Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God.

Galatians 3:17

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise.

Further, I say this: As to the covenant previously validated by God, the Law that has come into being four hundred and thirty years later does not invalidate it, so as to abolish the promise.

Galatians 4:7

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

So, then, you are no longer a slave but a son; and if a son, also an heir through God.

Galatians 6:15

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.

For neither is circumcision anything nor is uncircumcision, but a new creation [is something].

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

For I am not ashamed of the good news; it is, in fact, God’s power for salvation to everyone having faith, to the Jew first and also the Greeks.

I Corinthians 9:18

What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make use of my rights in preaching it.

What, then, is my reward? That while declaring the good news I may furnish the good news without cost, to the end that I may not abuse my authority in the good news.

John 6:47

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.

Most truly I say to you, He that believes has everlasting life.

Individual Persons Are Left Out Of Redemption

The NIV and the NWT blur the fact of individual salvation. These versions teach that everybody is going to heaven when they die.  The fact is: there are many people who are going down the wide way to destruction, and few that are traveling the narrow way to eternal life.  There is such a thing as individual salvation as plainly stated in the KJV.

Scripture

King James Version

New International Version

New World Translation

I Peter 4:1

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.

Therefore since Christ suffered in the flesh, you too arm yourselves with the same mental disposition; because the person that has suffered in the flesh has desisted from sins.

I Corinthians 5:7

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Clear away the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, according as you are free from ferment. For, indeed, Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.

Ephesians 4:6

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

One God and Father of all [persons], who is over all and through all and in all.

Revelation 21:24

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

And the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will brig their glory into it.

The above comparisons make it abundantly clear what these modern versions are attempting to do.  They are attempting to lull people to sleep spiritually, so they will be sucked into an eternal burning Lake of Fire.  Satan is very much alive and well and is doing all he can do to bring in his kingdom.

Do not be deceived.  Read and follow the pure, preserved word of God for English speaking people - the King James Version.
