The End of the World
Matthew 24:3
When the disciples asked Jesus when the end of the world would come, He didn’t mock them, or make fun of them. Some today would make fun of the fact of the end of the world, and its destruction by fire. Some would make fun of the Anti-Christ and his taking over the governments of this world. They may mock, but the Anti-Christ will take over.
Matthew 24:36-39 - The condition of the world in the last days.
Noah preached 120 years and build a giagantic ark, but people still didn’t listen.
Verse 39 declares they knew not until the flood came and took them all away.
The same thing is happening today.
Luke 17:28-32 – The condition of the saved in the last days.
Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom when the two angels came to get the righteous out.
Many saved people are watching the wickedness of this world, becoming immune to its wickedness, but not its sinfulness.
Verse 32 - Remember Lot’s wife – let none of us be like Lot’s wife.
Matthew 24:4 – Jesus didn’t mock the disciples because they wanted to know when the end of the world was coming.
He told them not to let any man deceive them.
He told them many would come in his name, declaring they were the Christ.
He told them of wars and rumors of wars, but these are the beginnings of sorrows.
He instructed them not to be afraid, but continue to look for His return.
