John 17:1-8

John 17:1-3 - Eternal life has actually come.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world

John 6:38 - Jesus does the Father’s will.

Particular redemption.

John 17:6-8 - God’s words have changed the believers.

John 3:16 - Everlasting life.

John 6:38-40 - God keeps true believers to eternal life.

Divine Ownership

Of the earth.

1.      Ps. 24:1 - The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof.

2.      Psalms 50:10 - Every beast of the field is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.

Of the souls of men.

1.      Ex. 13:1,2 - A symbol - the firstborn belongs to the Lord - both man and beast.

Of the possessions of men.

1.      I Kings 17:13 - This is why God demanded the widow woman to feed Elijah before she fed herself and her son.

2.      Matthew 6:33 - God demands all our possessions (not just 10%) therefore, He will supply all things for us.
